The Radiology Technologist performs radiological procedures on patients in a physician practice office and processes the films/images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Job Responsibilities
Adjust equipment for proper exposure in accordance with radiation safety.
Perform imaging studies that produce quality images.
Be attentive to scheduling and work within allotted time provided for procedures.
Explain x-ray procedures with patients and collect data for physician assessment. Position patient for exam/procedure. Determine proper film for x-ray. Process film.
Maintain radiographic area in a clean, safe, and orderly, well-stocked condition.
Assess patient's needs and determine appropriate intervention(s).
Perform necessary clerical functions, check in/out.
Supervise students as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Radiologic Technologist license valid in the state of Indiana
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-R)
Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association)
