The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves performing inspections, conducting tests, audits and documenting results to ensure the consistent production of high-quality products. The QA Technician works closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues and to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Conduct Quality Assurance audits of production facility assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved.
Consult with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems.
Function as an information source to various company departments when special and critical quality issues occur.
This role determines overall plant product quality by conducting and evaluating various product tests and tests related to ingredients and packaging.
The QA technician will resolve minor to major quality problems within the facility; evaluate and take corrective action when necessary, regarding product at all levels of product movement; educate and instruct plant personnel in recommended quality control testing, equipment and general sanitation and housekeeping practices while confirming these procedures are maintained. Preparation through submission of evaluation reports is a vital function in the role as well
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
Practices safe work habits and follows general safety procedures such as proper lifting and bending, ergonomics, proper use of equipment and use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
Adheres to and ensures lockout procedures are followed any time the equipment is being cleaned or maintained.

Adheres to and ensures product defense standards and quality objectives complies with all SQF system requirements.
