Job Summary: This position oversees product and service quality by developing and implementing quality control procedures, ensuring electrical and welding compliance with MEI and industry standards.This role is crucial in maintaining quality standards, Process control, identifying areas for improvement, and resolving quality-related issues. Responsibilities: 5+ yrs. Quality experience Conduct routine quality inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to verify they meet specifications, safety, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and findings, including documenting defects, deviations, and trends in product quality.Strong leadership and decision-making skills Prepare reports on quality issues, analyze data to identify patterns or areas for improvement, and present findings to engineering and management.Strong analytical skills, good mechanical aptitude and have above average computer skills Assist in identifying and resolving quality problems by collaborating with other teams to develop and implement corrective actions Process warranty part returns, internal material corrections and associated inventory transactions. Monitor inventory and initiate replenishment plans for part sales and replacement parts Suggest and help implement improvements to production processes and quality control procedures to enhance product consistency and efficiency. Detail-oriented and well-organized Excellent written and verbal skills Great people skills & a sense of humor Knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Ability to work independently and multi-task Ability to learn quickly and strive for continuous improvement Follow established company and departmental precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous environment at Minnesota Elevator, Inc. Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by MEI Leadership Actively participate in the MEI I-power Program by attending weekly meetings and submitting ideas to innovate and optimize MEI products and service. Participate in self-development activities to enhance job performance either through formal means (classes, workshops, seminars, inservices, etc.) or less structured means (reading, networking, etc.) Follow company guidelines regarding punctuality and attendance to ensure a smooth working environment for the department. Experience: Technical degree or BA Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate within groups and teams. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Can use whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ration and percentage and interpret bar graphs. Ability to take direction from written, oral, and diagram form. Physical Demands: Position requires approximately 90% of the time standing/walking. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift to 35 pounds.
