Job Description


Puget Sound Pipe is a premier wholesale distributor of pipe, valves and fittings in the Pacific Northwest & Alaska. We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to fill the Data Entry/Quality Support position at our Anchorage, AK location. We are looking for a motivated candidate to ensure our customers are receiving the quality products and documentation they require. This is an opportunity to learn about the booming construction industry and how to assist them.

This position will involve tracking material and documentation for our inventory. This tracking will include understanding inventory movement and problem-solving issues as they arise. The right candidate for this role will quickly understand our Excel based database system, move through our inventory software proficiently and become a valuable member of our quality team.

Hired candidates will be working onsite at the branch location. There is no relocation assistance available.

Basic Duties:
  • Verify proper receipt of material and documentation. This entails matching up receiving and ordering documentation, coding with PSP\'s unique part numbers, and scanning the documents into our database.
  • Retrieving customer required documents for orders from our database. Additionally, this may entail obtaining additional documentation depending on the customer\'s needs.
  • Making sure we are receiving material from approved suppliers.
  • Working with the sales department to provide documentation for quoting.
  • Assisting with quality documentation as necessary.
  • Greet customers and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Listen to, respond and/or forward voicemails.
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.
Desired Experience/Skills:
  • Microsoft Office \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel (Chart, Graphs & Tables), Outlook, etc.
  • Copier/Scanner/Fax/printer multi use machine
  • Detail oriented
  • Punctual & dependable
  • HS Diploma or equivalency
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Pass Background Check
