Description:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Conduct the appropriate lab test methods and quality inspections for all products thoroughly to ensure that our customers\' standards are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain proper documentation within the Quality Department and Production.
  • Inspect, analyze, and verify the quality of both raw materials and finished goods to ensure all aspects of the Production process meet the specifications set forth by the customer.
  • Perform inspections, test, and determine that all start-ups match Quality pack standards and regularly perform Quality inspection checks throughout the shift to ensure that Production specifications don\'t deviate.
  • Notify Quality and Production Leadership when a non-conforming material or process is noted.
  • Recommend potential corrective action measures based on the results of tests or inspections.
  • Document and update all Quality Control SOPs, Work Instructions and Production Process measures to ensure that a standardized Quality procedure is in place.
  • Maintain compliance with SOPs, Policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices and any other regulatory guidelines.
  • Follow all quality and site GMP requirements
  • Follow all safety procedures including reporting all incidents
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
  • Two years manufacturing experience
  • On-the-job training is provided
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and precise in their daily duties.
  • Confidentiality is expected regarding all company information or data that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant
  • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
  • Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP\'s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
  • Must be able to reach, touch, grasp
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
  • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.
  • Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 35 pounds
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 0-25% - Optional travel may be offered to support business needs
