About you

You're detail oriented and precise. You are comfortable on the manufacturing floor and take accountability for the quality of your own work. You are interested to learn and grow in the quality profession.

Key Responsibilities:

Review customer blue prints, 3D models, specifications and purchase orders

Visually and mechanically inspect fabricated sheet metal parts for in process and final quality control

Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and protractors) and equipment to verify part dimensions

Assist with root cause analysis and disposition of non-conforming material

Organize and maintain quality records and documentation

Escalate issues to management

Participate in continuous improvement

Other responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED

5+ years of experience as a quality inspector preferably in sheet metal or precision machining field

Ability to read drawings and technical information

Knowledge of measurement tools and techniques

Knowledge of GD&T

Excellent attention to detail

Understanding of quality systems and standards

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Math skills and analytical ability

Can work well with others in a diverse group and foster cooperative work environment

Demonstrated computer skills

Capable of frequent standing, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
