Job Overview:
The Quality Engineering Technician will assist the CEPG, Engineering, and Quality Departments with ensuring all quality standards are met and exceeded. This position will work closely with the CEPG & Process Support teams to identify and troubleshoot quality concerns. Will provide knowledge and training to the current Quality Departments. Will support continuous improvement efforts throughout the production process.
Highlights of your role:
Collaborate and assist with internal departments in order to resolve issues related to incoming parts and develop corrective actions.
Observe and assist in continuous improvement testing efforts and coordinate root cause analysis of product failures.
Evaluate equipment, product, and production capabilities throughout the production process and determine root cause.
Serve as a resource to the engineering department to resolve production line concerns to meet quality standards and specifications.
Acquire, Record and Analyze data, maintain proper paperwork/documentation, and communicate non-conforming materials or processes to internal departments.
Analyze and interpret prints, manuals, data, and other materials to determine specifications.
Conduct part inspections on first articles, incoming inspections, and measurement requests.
Work with CEPG, Engineering, and R&D to develop quality standards on new product releases and new processes.
Develop standard of operations and training materials.
Travel to different facilities and equipment vendors to be an onsite Quality resource.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
High School Diploma or GED Required
Demonstrated, strong written and oral communication skills required.
Previous quality experience, certifications and training required.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
Strong problem-solving skills are necessary.
Ability to use measurement tools such as micrometer, calipers, tape measures, pin gages, feeler gages, measurement probe and optical comparator.
