Job Description

The Quality Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and industry regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of production processes to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plans.
  • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to management.
  • Utilize statistical tools (SPC, Six Sigma) to monitor process capability and reduce defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that enhance product quality and reduce waste.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements.
  • Participate in supplier audits and qualification processes.

The ideal Quality Engineer - Manufacturing should have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ASQ standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and control plans.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
