Job Description


Summary Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc. Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations. Works together with cross functional teams. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done. Delivers products as part of a team. Works on cross functional teams. Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Non-conformance and MRB dispositions such as Repair.
  • Understands processes and manufacturing including capability and process improvement
  • Consistently applies RCCA methodology; Proactively analyzes data and implements controls to prevent reoccurrence
  • Manages config. mgmt. and control to include CIDs, FAIs, CAVs, quality plans, GD&T, etc.
  • Willing to become PR/MRB Certified
  • Actively participates in cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements
  • Mentors shop personnel & partners with manufacturing engineering team to consider quality & Lean/Six Sigma when developing quality plans
  • Mentors & supports Service Inspectors
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing).
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Manufacturing.
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Willing to learn AS9110, FAA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Willing to become a member of the Audit Team.
  • Some exposure to an Aviation Repair or Service environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
