PennEngineering is seeking motivated, excited, and innovative students for our
2026 intern program

Over the course of our
10-12-week summer internship
experience you will have the opportunity to:
Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while finding solutions to real world problems
Experience our products up close by working in our manufacturing and research facilities
Interact directly with our company leaders to discuss strategy and the future of PennEngineering
Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities
Gain the skills and knowledge to become a future leader
Support engineering projects in manufacturing, operations, or technology development.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Support quality engineers in daily activities related to production, product quality, and process improvement.
Assist with quality inspections, data collection, and measurement analysis to ensure product conformance.
Participate in root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Help maintain and improve quality documentation, including inspection procedures, control plans, and work instructions.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.
Conduct statistical analysis of quality metrics and assist in reporting trends.
Support internal audits and preparation for customer or regulatory audits.
Learn and utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to solve problems and optimize processes.
Work on special projects assigned by quality leadership, with an emphasis on learning and practical application.

Requirements:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Currently pursuing a
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
(Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field).
Strong interest in manufacturing, process improvement, and quality assurance.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with statistical tools a plus.
