The Quality Engineer - Aerospace will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and root cause analyses to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish quality standards for materials, processes, and finished products.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including quality plans, inspection reports, and corrective action records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and FMEA.
  • Interface with customers and regulatory bodies during audits and reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable defense/aerospace quality standards.

The ideal Quality Engineer - Aerospace will have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in quality engineering within aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and MIL standards.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, PPAP, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with NADCAP requirements and special processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality management software.
  • Certifications such as ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Green Belt.
