Job Description

The

Quality Coordinator

supports the execution, documentation, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) across solar EPC and substation/BESS construction projects. This role ensures field teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders follow project specifications, quality standards, and company procedures to deliver safe, compliant, and high-performing renewable energy installations.




Supervisory Responsibilities:





This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but supports field leadership by reinforcing quality standards, corrective actions, and documentation requirements.




Duties/Responsibilities:




Maintain and organize project quality documentation, inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective action logs. Support development, distribution, and updates of quality plans, procedures, and checklists. Track, monitor, and report project quality metrics, including trends, rework, testing results, and compliance. Assist with field inspections, audits, and punch-list verification alongside the Quality Manager. Coordinate material receiving documentation, equipment certifications, and supplier quality requirements. Ensure project teams have current drawings, specs, and quality reference materials. Prepare and submit quality reports for internal leadership and client requirements. Facilitate document control and record retention per company and regulatory standards. Support root-cause analysis, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate professionally with field teams, subcontractors, engineering, and project management. Maintain a strong, proactive quality culture aligned with safety and operational excellence. Complies with all company policies. All other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate. Knowledge of construction quality processes, inspection standards, and basic QA/QC principles Working understanding of drawings, specifications, material documentation, and submittals Strong organizational, documentation, and records-management skills Ability to identify discrepancies, track issues, and support corrective actions Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint) and/or construction technology platforms such as Procore Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills with field and office personnel Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and willingness to ask clarifying questions Valid driver's license



Education/Experience:




High school diploma or GED required Associate degree in construction management, engineering, quality, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in construction, utilities, manufacturing, renewables, or quality support roles required Experience with QA/QC documentation, inspections, or QMS processes preferred Experience using project management or construction technology platforms (e.g., Procore, BIM 360, SiteDocs) preferred Relevant certifications (ASQ, NCCER, Procore Quality & Safety) a plus but not required Solar, electrical, or EPC project experience strongly preferred



Physical Requirements:




Primarily sedentary work when working in the office. Occasional lifting, carrying, walking, and standing; frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and office equipment; vision for reading, recording and interpreting information; speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and other team members. When navigating a job site, the ability to move around project sites, which may involve walking, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven terrain.
