In a warehouse environment, the
Quality Control Technician:
performs a variety of duties to determine whether materials and products meet specifications and/or requirements. This includes conducting visual, dimensional, mechanical, and/or other standard tests of materials. Deviations from standards are reported to appropriate personnel. A variety of precision measuring instruments and tests are used in determining if specifications are met. Maintaining accurate records and graphs pertinent to the function is important. This position also assists in Receiving by breaking down incoming shipments into salable condition, verifying identifying information, and putting product away. This position also assists with warehouse housekeeping duties when needed. The hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm on site.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is able to handle a high volume of work in a professional manner with high attention to detail under minimal supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years related warehouse experience and/or training, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, to follow quality protocols and test methods, write routine reports, operate and be certified on all appropriate material handling equipment, and have basic computer experience are required.
