Job Description

Quality Control Ultrasonic Technician



To assist the Quality and Operations Manager with ensuring that procedures are followed in regard to operations at the GTP Location, with an emphasis on Ultrasonic Testing and Healthcare product lines.

This position will require the use of physical strength. You will be required to consistently lift heavy material for efficient testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



The items listed below are representative of the responsibilities required, but others are assigned as necessary:

Oversee the Ultrasonic Testing NDT program for the Healthcare product line.

Ensure all Ultrasonic Testing is performed and documented per internal documented procedures.

Assist the Operations Manager with tracking Healthcare items through WIP and ensuring quality checks and documentation are complete.

Organize the QC area and ensure a consistent flow of material through the area.

Organize daily tasks for the Sustaplast QC Technician and ensure material is moving through the department efficiently.

Mentor the Sustaplast QC Technician with the goal of improving the current procedures and processes.

Document department Preventive Actions, Non Conforming Products, and Department Corrective actions that are identified in daily tasks.

Mentor QA Technician in understanding production processes at 321 location, and encourage development and expansion of current processes.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:



This employee must have a High School diploma, a Level 1 UT certification for NDT.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:



Ability to read and comprehend technical journals, industry specifications, and other technical and/or legal

documents. Must be able to respond to customer inquiries and applications in a courteous and professional manner.

Ability to interact with groups of an undetermined size, this includes writing speeches, and instructing relevant

courses.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:



Must be able to apply mathematical techniques to solve technical problems to benefit the company.

REASONING ABILITY:



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical

information in written, mathematical, or diagram/chart form to assist in solving problems.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



The ability to use computers and computer applications to achieve company goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
