An international automotive parts manufacturing company is currently searching for an experienced
Quality Control Specialist
to join their facility in the northwestern Dayton, Ohio area. The ideal candidate has previous production planning / coordinating experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Quality Control Specialist Responsibilities Include:
Participate in day-to-day scheduling and planning for production activities and associates
Ensure proper inventory levels necessary for manufacturing and maintenance; create purchase requisitions and plan for future material needs
Collaborate with other departments to determine future needs for materials / equipment / manpower, etc.
Documentation of quality assurance activities, such as PPAP, Quality Control Plans, etc.
Assist with preparations for quality audits and process improvement initiatives
Creation of activity and inventory reports for upper management
Other duties as assigned
Quality Control Specialist Requirements Include:
Associate's degree in a supply chain or technical field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
1-3 years' work experience in production control, quality assurance, or related field preferred, ideally within an automotive manufacturing environment
Good computer skills with specific proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
Understanding of continuous improvement processes
Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.*
