Quality Control Manager

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Manager oversees the quality assurance processes in candle production, ensuring that all products meet company standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing inspection protocols, managing testing procedures, and leading a team to maintain consistent product quality across all stages of manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement quality control procedures for raw materials, in-process production, and finished candles. Monitor production lines to ensure adherence to quality standards, including wick placement, wax consistency, scent distribution, and packaging. Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and facilities. Investigate and resolve quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances. Maintain documentation of quality metrics, test results, and corrective actions. Train production staff in quality standards and best practices. Collaborate with production teams to improve product quality and efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Quality Management or related field, and/or quality certification, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in manufacturing or consumer goods. Strong knowledge of quality systems (e.g., ISO standards). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in quality software and data analysis tools. Experience with fragrance and wax testing is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, fragrances, and machinery. Occasional lifting of materials up to 30 lbs. Standing and walking for extended periods during inspections.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
