We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Duties
QC Inspector - Class 1 (entry level)
Perform visual inspection to customer requirement. Mark castings with results of visual inspection for upgrade, grind, or release to shipping.
Undergoes reqired training in applicable work instructions, Quality Management procedures, and quality polices.
Additional duties and activities as required assigned by QA management.
QC Inspector - Class 2 (mid-level)
Perform dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, height gages, snap gages, dial indicators, etc., to ensure compliance to drawings. Must be capable of drawing interpretation to relate dimensions taken to requirements.
Perform at least one technique, liquid penetrant, visual inspection, RT-film interpretations, other methods of NDE as a Level II. Perform and interpret results.
Assist in training of manufacturing and Quality Management employees in aspects of inspection and Quality principles.
Perform hardness testing and perform ultrasonic thickness gaging.
Ability to perform functions working from drawings, travelers, procedures, etc. Determine acceptance or rejection of casting and sign off or develop required paperwork.
QC Inspector - Class 3 (advanced level)
Perform at least two techniques in either liquid penetrant, visual inspection, RT-film interpretations, or other methods of NDE as a Level II. Perform and interpret results.
Prepare weld maps when required by customer purchase order requirements.
Operate and program the coordinate Measuring Machine for casting and dimensional layout.
Can perform all functions of processing customer returns, corrective actions, non-conformances, corrective action and other Quality Management documentation.
Assist in training of manufacturing and Quality Management employees in aspects of inspection and Quality principles.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift License
Level II - PT (Liquid Penetrant Inspection) Certification (Class 2 and/or Class 3)
Level II - VT (Visual Testing) Certification (Class 2 and/or Class 3)
Level II - RT (Radiographic Testing) - Film Interpretation Certification (Class 2 and/or Class 3)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Can be noisy, hot, and/or dusty
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
