The Quality Control Inspector supports the fabrication of piping systems, pressure vessels, tanks, structural weldments, modules, and related assemblies by ensuring products meet internal and customer specifications. This role is ideal for candidates with quality control experience in manufacturing or fabrication. CWI or Level II VT/PT/MT certifications are preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Perform visual inspections and additional QC checks per customer and project requirements.
Monitor fabrication processes to ensure adherence to production and quality specifications.
Perform and document testing activities, ensuring accurate and complete data records.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain detailed documentation.
Identify, record, and communicate product quality issues to the QC Manager.
Support continuous compliance and improvement efforts across the production floor.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
Ability to read a ruler and work with measurements.
Good math skills and mechanical aptitude.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for 9-10 hours.
Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
Ability to squat, twist, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as needed in a fabrication environment.
Equipment Used
Standard office equipment (phone, computer, copier, scanner, etc.).
Vehicles such as company automobiles or trucks, as required.
