Duties

Conduct thorough quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems. Utilize advanced quality management tools like Calypso software and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to analyze product dimensions and tolerances accurately. Perform detailed quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other relevant standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including FDA regulations. Collect and analyze data related to product quality, documenting findings meticulously for review and continuous improvement. Implement quality control procedures aligned with HACCP, CGMP, and other safety standards to maintain high-quality manufacturing outputs. Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions to enhance product quality. Participate in internal and external quality audits, ensuring adherence to established quality systems and regulatory guidelines. Assist in maintaining accurate records of inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions within the quality management system. Support ongoing training initiatives related to quality assurance practices and the proper use of measurement tools.

Skills

Extensive experience with calibration and use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems. Proficiency in using Calypso software for data collection and analysis related to quality metrics. Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP standards, and their application within manufacturing environments. Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for dimensional analysis of complex parts. Knowledge of quality assurance principles including QA/QC procedures, quality audits, and process validation. Ability to perform detailed analysis skills for identifying defects or deviations from specifications. Experience working within manufacturing settings with a focus on quality control or inspection roles. Competence in utilizing precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and vision inspection systems effectively. Excellent data collection skills combined with meticulous attention to detail for accurate reporting. Strong communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting inspection results clearly.
