SET THE COURSE
The Quality Control Assistant ensures all incoming Tommy Bahama Home products meet company quality and compliance standards. This role performs detailed inspections of vendor shipments according to the Non-Apparel Compliance Manual and maintains accurate, organized audit documentation. The position also supports departmental efficiency by assisting with training, small repairs, and maintaining reference materials and equipment within the QC Department.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDEConduct detailed inspections of shipments for accuracy in style, description, color name/number, barcode, MSRP, and country of origin. Verify construction, packaging, safety labeling, and compliance with established standards. Identify, document, and report defects, discrepancies, or non-conformance in product quality or presentation. Measure garments or products and record specifications accurately, noting any deviations beyond tolerance limits. Collaborate with internal departments (Receiving, Returns, Inventory Control, Merchandising, and Production) to resolve product quality issues promptly. Maintain up-to-date audit records and assist in quality reporting and analysis. Collaborate with vendors and corporate product teams to clarify specifications and resolve quality discrepancies. Participate in pre-production sample reviews or first-article inspections to ensure alignment with company standards. Participate in sorting, re-packaging, and minor product repairs to correct or contain quality issues as needed. Support the root cause analysis of recurring defects or compliance issues and assist in developing corrective action plans. Identify and communicate opportunities for workflow optimization within the Quality Control or Distribution Center processes. Support training of new or temporary staff in quality inspection procedures. Participate in special projects or process improvement initiatives within the QC department. Ensure workspace and inspection areas remain safe, organized, and compliant with company safety standards. Carry out other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE1-2 years of experience in auditing, inspection, or quality assurance environments Knowledge of Quality Control fundamentals (ISO 9001 preferred) Warehouse/Distribution related experience in apparel/hard goods preferred 6 months experience working at TB warehouse. 1+ years warehouse experience preferred Preferred 1+ years of quality control experience Skilled in using inventory management systems and tools to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word. Experience using Voice/RF equipment preferred.

PHYSICAL ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISEFrequently able to lift and or move up to approximately 40 pounds Frequently able to bend/stoop/kneel and/or twist as required Routinely able to stand approximately eight hours per day Ability to walk up to 5 miles per shift Able to maneuver the following types of equipment or machinery: pallet jacks
Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.
Rate Range: $21.00 to $29.04 hourly
