Are you an experienced Machine operator or Quality Assurance Technician looking for a new opportunity to showcase your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Valley Machining in Rock Valley, IA is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of quality in our products.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough quality inspections on in-process production and finished products Identify and document any non-conforming items and work with the production team to address and resolve quality issues Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality inspections and results Work with quality teammates to assist with calibration and tracking of metrology equipment Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve quality standards and processes Assist with training and onboarding of machine operators in gaging and measuring techniques Maintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes to improve production efficiency Interprets, analyzes, and applies a variety of manufacturing principles and prints Regularly support production activities, when schedule allows, by running production machines and/or assisting in secondary department to produce deliverable product

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in metal fabrication in a manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures, experience in ISO9001 certified organization a plus Excellent oral, writing, and listening communication and teamwork skills, effectively communicating and coordinating with all levels of the organization Possesses strong computer skills and understands basic programs and technology; ability to learn new software and technologies in metrology equipment as required Experience and working understanding of the processes, prints, equipment, and technology in a machining operation Knowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing preferred Ability to work independently, as well as interacting with all machine operators on a daily basis, and meet deadlines effectively Able to work in a manufacturing environment while following all safety protocols Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
