Job Description

ACCI Specialty Materials (www.accispecialtymaterials.com), a rapidly growing manufacturer of amino acid personal care ingredients thermoset resins and flame retardants and epoxy curing agents has an upcoming opening for a Manager of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs

This is a senior level position, the incumbent will be a key part of the management team of ACCI. The incumbent will be based Harrisonville, MO.

The incumbent will responsible for:

Quality and ISO Compliance

Ensure company's compliance to Quality & ISO standards. Represent the company in response to customer quality inquiries, surveys and audits. Cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing quality policies and quality goals. Coordinates functions and operations between departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures. Visits and confers with suppliers to assure supply chain quality. Establishes a strong presence with plant personnel to ensure buy-in to Quality and Safety Programs.
Product Testing and Verification

Ensures that products (new and existing) are properly verified to meet performance expectations. Visits and confers with customers to troubleshoot and solve quality issues. Manage QA testing lab equipment and testing task list. Communicates problems, significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards (Rudimentary understanding- training)
Continuous Improvement

Leads Production Team in proactively improving quality systems and implementing quality improvements to meet company's quality goals. Champions the use of a disciplined approach to problem solving. Drive SPC data collection and analysis for capability improvement. Improve company's delivery performance, efficiency, and throughput through the utilization of Lean Principles. Participate in QOS process to improve costs. Champion the development of understanding QOS at all levels.
Vendor Relations

Communicates problems, significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Application of SPC software Manages Safety Health and Environmental compliance with relevant State and Federal authorities including EPA, OSHA, etc. Plant Permitting and compliance as well as international registration and compliance of our Chemicals and Polymers with such agencies as EPA, DEP, TSCA, etc.
Candidate must have demonstrated leadership skills excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to multitask and be engaged and function in a dynamic team environment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

This position requires a minimum of bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of Quality Assurance Leadership experience in the Personal Care, Chemical or Plastics industries. Relocation assistance can be provided to the appropriate candidate.

Pay: $52,335.00 - $129,255.00 per year
