Work begins promptly at

7am and ending at 3:30pm, Monday through Friday

. (Summer hours are from 6am-2:30pm to beat the heat!)

Summary


Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, this position is responsible for the daily QA/QC inspections and updating of travelers. The QA inspector's primary responsibility is to professionally record and communicate non-compliances to our team to identify and address quality issues.

Duties and Responsibilities



Building Inspections

a. Conducts spot inspections in all departments.

b. Checks all station leadman and supervisor sign-offs.

c. Studies each print individually and with team to identify all non-standard items and procedures.

d. Conducts a detailed inspection of all non-standard items and procedures.

e. Conducts inspections on items QA manager brings attention to.

f. Inspect ship loose, and close-up to ensure accuracy with ship loose list.

g. Inspects units prior to movement to storage areas for condition of tires, hitches, close-up and over all general condition.

h. Re-inspects tires and close-up prior to transport staging.

Ship loose & Transportation

i. Ensures proper disbursement of the materials within one unit or between several units of same complex.

j. Help to prepare weekly for building ship loose.

k. Takes pictures of ship loose and completed building for Transport Supervisor to file digitally.

Administrative Duties

a. Distributes quality control forms as required for ship loose and transportation.

b. Assures that quality control documentation is accessible.

c. Monitors daily status of quality control paperwork.

d. Helps to print, collect and file building travelers.

e. Helps Transportation supervisor to account for all building transport.

f. Assists in establishing quality standards.

g. Assists in the development of station checklists.

h. Assists in the development of all quality control forms, as necessary.

Miscellaneous

a. Assists Quality Assurance Manager as needed.

b. Assists all other administrative support positions as needed.

c. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications



Ability to read and understand production blueprints.

Strong knowledge of and quality systems and programs

Ability to follow a process or procedure consistently

Knowledge on construction systems, materials, and state building including codes (IBC) (IEEC) (NEC)

Excellent understanding of quality control principles and practices

Proficient in conducting quality audits and inspections with attention to detail

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
