About this role

The Qualified Observer - Access Solutions will take charge of right-of-way access on their assigned job site. This role demands hands-on leadership in critical tasks such as safety. This position requires team collaboration, strong attention to detail, combined with a proven ability to identify safety hazards and mitigate them. The pay rate for this position is $30 per hour.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for policing right of way access on assigned job site. This includes ensuring that everyone that enters the site has been briefed on hazards on the site and obtaining signature on required forms. Policing the right of way to keep unauthorized members of the public from traversing the access road and / or right of way. Ensuring that proper traffic control is employed, assisting if necessary. Spotting for mat trucks that are unloading at the right of way entrance. Collaborates with company and customer safety teams to understand safety expectations and ensure a proactive approach to safety protocols.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Attention to detail and strong communication skills. Ability to read and understand site safety plans and job safety forms.

Qualifications:

Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times per day. * Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks such as rain, heat, sun, cold, snow.
