Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering medications to patients, monitoring their health status, and providing essential care in a supportive environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the appropriate medication and care they need for their well-being.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications to patients in accordance with established protocols. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Assist with daily living activities and provide personal care to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to medication administration and patient care. Provide catheter care as needed, ensuring proper hygiene and comfort for patients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Stay informed about each patient's medical history and current health status to provide effective care. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices in medication administration.

Skills

Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding physiological responses. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to interpret medical records. Experience in medication administration within a medical office or healthcare setting. Familiarity with memory care techniques for patients with cognitive impairments. Understanding of acute care practices for managing more complex health issues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work compassionately with diverse patient populations while maintaining professionalism.
