Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We have been providing our customers with enduring aircraft paint processes, unsurpassed quality, and on-time deliveries.We take great pride in every aircraft painted at our facilitiesThe facility operates 24/7.Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Inspectors are an integral part of our operation.They are required to maintain the airworthiness of aircraft and all their components.Inspectors work according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and company regulations and procedures.Inspectors certify the quality of workmanship, including signing mechanical flight releases.

Responsibilities of A&P Certified Aircraft Inspector:

Update computer maintenance tracking programs with current information on a regular basis; generate maintenance due listsPerform duties delegated by the Chief InspectorMaintain and oversee maintenance records for all aircraft on propertyReview work packages for accuracy and completeness of paperworkAfter completion of work by the crew, in cooperation with the Chief Inspector, inspects the work to determine the job is completed and is of the best quality possibleFamiliarize self with all the current pertinent FAA specifications, air worthiness directives, manufacturers instructions, bulletins, technical data, and other approved data applicable to the unit being inspectedAssure that all the parts rejected or found un-serviceable by are properly marked and taggedProperly execute the malfunction and defect report FAA form 8010-4 as necessaryProper execution of FAA form 337 and maintenance release pertinent to all items returned to servicePerform preliminary, hidden damage, in progress, and final inspection of all assigned aircraftEnsure that no defective or un-airworthy parts are installed any component or unit returned to serviceFollow policies and procedures as detailed in the Air Carrier and Repair Station manuals.

Requirements of the A&P Certified Aircraft Inspector:

Hold a Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.Meets requirements of 14 CFR Part 65.83Verifiable aircraft maintenance employment within last 2 yearsMinimum of 5 years commercial or regional aircraft experienceFamiliar with parameters and standards established specifically in Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) parts 53, 65, 91, 121, 135, and 145Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applicationsMust pass all conducted drug/alcohol screening, background and security checks and prove eligibility for employment in the United StatesValid driver's license

Schedule:

10 hour shiftOn callWeekends as needed

License/Certification:

Airframe & Powerplant License (Required)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $44.00 per hour

Night Shift (Preferred) Day Shift (Preferred)
Work Location: On the road
