Job Description


Filament Games seeks a detail-oriented individual to join our QA team. QA Analysts at Filament work closely with development teams to reduce the likelihood that users will encounter problems that prevent them from engaging with our products. A Quality Assurance Analyst is primarily responsible for coordinating testing efforts for projects. Completing regular assessments of games and supporting software, refining test cases and conducting tests, documenting issues, and maintaining records will be among typical duties. Responsibilities

  • Write test cases that cover product functionality, usability, consistency, performance, and compatibility
  • Execute test cases and test cycles
  • Maintain test suites
  • Discover and report defects
  • Verify that defects are resolved
  • Verify that stories have been implemented to specification
  • Advocate for the end user
  • Lead QA efforts on multiple projects, including assigning work and attending project meetings
  • Prepare evaluations of software and recommend improvements or upgrades
  • Communicate with project stakeholders about testing progress and results
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the form and function of Filament products
  • Promote process improvement
Required Skills & Experience
  • High School diploma and some college or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years experience in formal Quality Assurance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of the role of QA in software development, and the QA process
  • Knowledgeable about the form and function of bug tracking, test case tracking, and incident management processes
  • Experience analyzing projects and determining testing requirements
  • Understanding of what makes games compelling, interesting, and engaging
  • Clear understanding of the use, function, and configuration of internet browsers, tablets and smartphones
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
