Role:




We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Quality Technician

to support our Quality Department in key quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment, a keen eye for detail, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for maintaining high standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Measurement & Inspection



Perform measurement and FAI on new, changed, and suspect product using various gages including, but not limited to: + Calipers, Tape Measure, Protractor, Micrometer, Virtek LaserQC, and FARO Arm
Complete first piece inspection on the floor for approval on new and changed parts. Provide support to Quality Technician on Final Inspection and Roaming Inspection requirements as needed. Prepare measurement reports and provide data to Quality Engineer for review and preparation of customer required submissions

Audits



Complete audits as scheduled by Quality Engineer. Report all audit non-conformances to Department Group Lead, Quality Engineer & Quality Manager. Identify potential training gaps and communicate with Group Leads to address. Review audits regularly for accuracy or required updates to ensure alignment to current procedures.

Floor Support



Work with production and cross-functional teams to support problem solving initiatives in-process. Take floor calls and escalate to involve the appropriate support teams. Monitor and audit in-process inspection sheets throughout the shift & report opportunities for improvement and coaching to Department Group Lead.

Continuous Improvement



Monitor & identify improvement opportunities on production drawings (e.g., clarity, feasibility, additional required information). Submit ideas through the company's suggestion system. Support other continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

Customer Communication



Communicate with customers via phone, email and Microsoft Teams in a professional manner Submit customer-required PPAP/Submission documents prepared by the Quality Engineer or the Quality Manager for review and approval Represent Triton professionally & respectfully during customer on-site visits Respond to emails and phone calls/voicemails in a timely manner

Training



Work with production Tritons to identify training gaps Escalate gaps in training to the Group Lead & Human Resources to ensure necessary training and support is provided

Quality Documentation



Communicate all customer complaints to the Quality Engineer and Quality Manager to initiate a Quality Alert Follow-up on QA's created to ensure completion of review and training

Gages & Calibration



Complete daily, weekly, monthly and annual calibrations assigned by the Quality Engineer and the Quality Manager Report failed calibrations to Quality Engineer and Quality Manager Verify all new gages meet requirements for calibration prior to releasing gages to production Monitor gauge inventory and place orders for new gauges as required

Requirements:



Previous experience in a manufacturing quality role. Ability to read and interpret blueprints Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Familiarity with MS Office applications, including, but not limited to: + Excel

PowerPoint + Visio
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Thorough understanding of quality inspection processes and tools. Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and effectively
