We seek a detail-oriented Purchasing Associate who will deliver compassionate and thoughtful care and roll up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to support our patients and caregivers and to be the best at whatever we do.

The Purchasing Associate is responsible for supporting daily procurement operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services needed for our patient care and overall business operations. The Purchasing Associate will maintain positive business relationships with vendors, and the incumbent will support patient care and distribution operations through efficient and effective purchasing operations across a wide array of vendors, maintain accurate inventory records, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization by participating in delivering an exceptional patient care experience.

Essential Functions:

Accurately create, issue, and manage purchase orders under company policies supporting patient care, distribution, or other business operations. Track deliveries and follow up appropriately with vendors and customers to confirm the timely shipment and receipt of goods. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information. Assist in resolving issues with shipments, invoices, backorders, recalls, returns, or purchase order discrepancies. Assure damaged items in shipments are identified and communicated to vendors for a replacement or credit. Perform standard or customary inventory management and reordering of goods or items as required. Support the quarterly and/or bi-annual physical inventory process. Communicate effectively with other teams or departments to present solutions to any patient concerns related to inventory, delays in shipment, backorders, recalls, or substitute items. Responsible for amicable interactions with coworkers and customers, including patients and caregivers, referral sources, office staff, vendors, and patrons. Answer inbound patient care calls for a wide range of customers, including patients, caregivers, referral, and provider offices. Identify the caller's needs, clarify information, research concerns or issues, and provide effective solutions. Maintain confidentiality of all information; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Abide by all regulatory and accrediting agency policy and procedure requirements.

Experience

:

Minimum of 1 year of medical office or healthcare service-related experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or related roles.

Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Self-starter, able to display the highest level of integrity and respect for confidentiality. Ability to exercise practical judgment and sensitivity to changing needs and situations. High attention to detail and accuracy Must possess a strong sense of urgency and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to work independently at times and within a team. Demonstrated ability to interact collaboratively with other departments and teams. Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and succeed in a fast-paced work environment.

Work Environment, Surroundings, and Demands

Work is performed onsite in an office environment. The office environment requires the use of standard office equipment (i.e., computers, printers, copiers, telephones). Sitting at a desk for prolonged periods while using standard office equipment.
