Addictions Recovery Center, Inc. (ARC) in Medford, Oregon is a behavioral health treatment and support agency providing a trauma informed, comprehensive continuum of substance use and co occurring mental health disorder services throughout Southern Oregon.We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant whose work will directly support both client care and staff success by ensuring our programs have the supplies, tools, and resources they need to operate smoothly and consistently. This role plays a quiet but essential part in creating safe, well-supported environments where recovery work can happen without unnecessary barriers.ARC Purchasing Assistants help ensure that frontline staff can stay focused on what matters most - serving clients - by maintaining reliable systems for ordering, tracking, and distributing supplies across all programs and administrative areas. Through organization, responsiveness, and collaboration, this role strengthens day-to-day operations and contributes to a supportive, well functioning workplace.

Role ImpactoSupports uninterrupted client services by preventing supply gaps and delaysReduces stress on coworkers by creating dependable purchasing and inventory processesoHelps steward agency resources responsibly, ensuring funds are used thoughtfully and efficientlyoContributes to a trauma informed workplace through clear, respectful, and responsive communication

Key ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:oSource and manage vendors for goods and services that support client care and agency operationsoPrepare quotes, proposals, and purchasing terms for review and approvaloProcure approved furniture, equipment, supplies, and curriculum in alignment with ARC purchasing policiesoManage subscription accounts and conduct routine price checks on standard inventory itemsoTrack inventory levels, reorder points, and deliveries to prevent service disruptionsoCoordinate deliveries and pickups with programs and departmentsoMaintain safe, organized storage areas and accurate inventory recordsoManage backstock inventory and conduct monthly audits of agency assetsoAnalyze pricing trends and sourcing options to identify cost saving opportunitiesoCommunicate clearly with staff regarding purchasing requests, timelines, delays, and discrepanciesoHandle sensitive and confidential information with discretionoSupport general office operations, including mail distribution and printer supply managementoComplete special projects and additional tasks as assigned

Additional Support TasksoAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processesoSupport month end and year end closing activitiesoAssist with coding, data entry, reconciliations, and payment processingoRecord payment receipts and prepare bank deposits as neededoAssist with collecting and verifying timekeeping information

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & SKILLS




Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in related field preferred.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years' experience working in fast paced office environment. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills with the ability to create, interpret, and present data. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in accounting software (ie QuickBooks), preferred. Excellent organizational skills for workload and office activities. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


Compensation and benefits include:

Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week Starting wage ranging from $27.50 to $32.00 an hour, depending on credentials, skills, and experience Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year's, MLK Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Additional benefits include:
