Serve Electric is currently seeking a full time Purchaser with strong organizational skills, sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize tasks well.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with Branch Manager to establish job needs Prepare, review and issue Purchase Orders Purchase materials, tools, office supplies, etc. Operate the backend of the office/ shop Manage shop inventory - material & tooling in and out Create and build relationships with vendors Negotiate prices and terms with vendors

The ideal candidate should:

Be accessible outside of work hours to facilitate orders if / when needed Have excellent communication skills Be adaptable to a changing environment Have good computer skills - able to pick up new software and skills to pair with existing word processing & spreadsheet abilities Be self motivated with a sense of ownership, setting goals and tasks without being directed Understand where to apply immediate need in a fast pace environment Be well organized

Must have:

Drivers license

Bonuses:

Experience or knowledge in the electrical field Basic understanding of the industry, parts, and material Purchasing or supplier experience would be a plus Previous experience with a supply house in Grand Rapids
Salary to be negotiated based on experience.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
