Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain an Amada VIPROS KING 2 CNC Turret Punch Press. The operator will be responsible for producing sheet metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate the VIPROS KING 2 CNC punch press to produce sheet metal parts. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders. Select, load, and adjust tooling and programs for production runs. Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications and make corrections as needed. Perform routine maintenance, including tool changes, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred). 1-3 years of experience operating CNC turret punch presses (experience with Amada machines preferred). Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints. Proficiency with measuring tools and inspection equipment. Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Safety-conscious mindset.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing shop environment with machinery, noise, and moderate lifting. PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
