Capex Oilfield Services is a privately owned company providing rental equipment, service, and support to the energy industry. We are currently seeking a full-time

Pump Technician

for our Williston branch who will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of quality control in the set-up, repair, maintenance and service of all pumps, tanks and auxiliary equipment.

Our ideal candidate will be a positive team player with exceptional mechanical skills, have a desire to respond to field calls as needed, and perform their duties independently while working in a team environment.

The

Pump Technician

will be responsible for:

Setting up, repairing, maintaining and servicing all pumps, tanks and auxiliary equipment Troubleshooting and diagnosing any items found to be deficient Completing and recording weekly service calls in accordance with company guidelines Testing pumps before sending them out to the field; with the rig up of pumps, tank farms and auxiliary equipment according to Capex specifications as needed Receiving and shipping tankage and auxiliary equipment in compliance with company procedures while documenting and communicating any deficiencies to dispatch Working with customers over the phone to diagnose and repair equipment as necessary Ensuring that all pump and tank related equipment is cleaned to Capex standards Adhering to all industry HSE regulations and requirements and company procedures

Desired Skills and Attributes



Excellent mechanical aptitude Experience working with pumps and rotating equipment Strong organizational and prioritization skills Ability to make decisions, diagnose and repair problems Experience with both skid and trailer mounted pumps Understanding of PSI, rate of flow, and fluid movement Knowledge of working components of fluid, booster, and motor pumps. Self-motivated, strong attention to detail and Safety conscious with a desire and ability to perform physical requirements of the job and work in a drug and alcohol-free environment Previous oilfield experience is considered an asset Desire to occasionally work in the field and support in other areas as required
