Employment Opportunity


The City of Orem Public Works Department is seeking a dedicated and skilled Public Works Operator to join our Water Reclamation team. Under the general direction of a Program Manager and Field Supervisor, this essential position is responsible for the professional maintenance, treatment, and operation of the Orem Water Reclamation Facility and all associated City lift stations. The operator plays a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting public health, and safeguarding the environment through the continuous and efficient processing of wastewater.


Qualifications


High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Must possess and maintain a valid Utah Driver's License. May be required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) .Possess or be able to obtain a State of Utah Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification.


Pay and Benefits


Individual starting salary will depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience. The City also provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.


Schedule


This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, structured as five (5) 8-hour days. The successful candidate is required to participate in a mandatory rotating on-call schedule for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency response.
