Job Description

The Town of Astoria is seeking a highly motivated self-starting individual to work as part of a team in the daily operations of the Public Works Department. This position reports to the Public Works Director. Successful candidates will be able to obtain both water, sewer, and CDL licenses, perform physical work, work both collaboratively and independently, and communicate well with the public. Preferred ability to operate equipment. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Illinois driver's license. Candidate must be available for emergency, weekend, and holiday on-call. Preferred in-town residency, background check, physical and drug screen required. Salary depending on qualifications and experience. Full benefit package.
