Public Relations Specialist

Overview: The Public Relations Specialist will contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of the company\xe2\x80\x99s media relations function from the ground up and leverage strategic PR agency partners, with the support of an experienced PR leader and mentor as their leader. Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to our media relations strategy, aligning the organization\xe2\x80\x99s marketplace positioning with the brand strategy, continuously identifying opportunities for the organization to own issues and gain awareness as a thought leader in our space. Gain valuable exposure to PR budget management, selection and performance of public relations agency partner(s) and key performance indicators to include placement in targeted national and trade publications, as well as major market press outlets.
  • Be involved in all aspects of media relations to include spokesperson strategy, media training, media opportunity preparation and key message packaging.
  • Conduct and oversee news research and monitoring to stay abreast of and educate Employbridge leaders on relevant industry trends.
  • Aid in the development of proprietary research initiatives, as well as third-party research to develop a voice for Employbridge as a thought leader among relevant audiences on hourly U.S. workforce trends.
  • Monitor competitive trends, to ensure thought leadership position that is relevant, aligned with brand strategy and unique in our space.
  • Assist in the development of white papers and point of view articles that support this strategy.
  • Leverage thought leadership as a foundation for Employbridge\xe2\x80\x99s content strategy across all audiences and channels, including job seekers and employers across key verticals, such as Manufacturing, Logistics, Transportation, Call Centers, Administrative/Clerical, Contact Centers, Professional Services, Recruitment Process Outsourcing, etc.
  • Communicate and manage a comprehensive media relations policy throughout Employbridge that allows the company to capitalize on local PR trends and widely leverage spokespersons, while also ensuring spokespersons at adequately prepared to mitigate risks.
  • Research and pursue appropriate speaking opportunities and awards for the organization and its leaders. Collaborate with our ESG leaders to help develop, earn, and promote the organization\xe2\x80\x99s positive impact on the labor force and the communities in which Employbridge serves.
  • Collaborate with our Digital Experience leaders to ensure alignment between the brand and our social content, interaction and ratings by associates, colleagues, and customers.
  • Serve as a contributing partner in the development and continuous refinement of our value proposition to associates, customers and colleagues, in partnership with marketing colleagues, as well as operational, sales and human resource functions.
  • Leverage market research and insights to ensure a keen understanding of the organizations target audiences, both talent and clients, and methods for audience segmentation to ensure the brand is positioned as relevant, engaging, and unique among competitors.
Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree and 3+ years related experience
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
  • Prior experience with companywide public relations and thought leadership strategies to support strong brand positioning, including media story angle development, spokesperson interview preparation, key messaging platforms, industry, and analyst relations.
  • Ability to interact with C-level executives, understand enterprise-wide business strategy and aid in the execution of a brand strategy that supports.
  • Exceptional writing, communications, and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to contribute to multiple complex projects, leveraging all resources, including external partners.
  • Ability to build rapport, influence, and work cross-functionally to achieve goals.
  • Innovative forward thinker and creative problem-solver.
  • Ability to understand and improve the end user experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with people at all levels of the organization to drive improvement and results.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using various technology platforms to drive effective decisions.
