Summary


The Public Areas Attendant plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of all public spaces throughout the resort. This position supports the guest experience by ensuring all indoor and outdoor public areas are spotless, well-maintained, and ready for daily operations. This role requires consistent attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently while upholding Hyatt service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, pool decks, fitness center, stairwells, meeting spaces, and other assigned zones. Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, wiping surfaces, and trash removal. Replenish supplies including paper goods, soap, sanitizers, and amenity items. Maintain cleanliness of high-touch surfaces and ensure all areas meet brand cleanliness standards. Assist with snow removal, walkway clearing, and outdoor upkeep as needed during winter months. Respond to guest requests courteously and promptly, ensuring a positive guest experience. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and equipment concerns immediately to leadership. Operate cleaning tools, carts, vacuums, and chemical products safely and responsibly. Follow all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, cleaning processes, and chemical handling procedures. Work collaboratively with Housekeeping and Engineering teams to support hotel operations. Maintain secure handling of lost and found items following resort policy. Uphold all Hyatt cleanliness, hygiene, and brand quality standards at all times.
Qualifications

Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or public-area cleaning experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate to heavy items. Comfortable with physical, fast-paced work in indoor and outdoor environments. Ability to work weekends and holidays based on business needs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Excellent customer service skills and professional communication.
