They provide worldwide around the clock service and support. This location is their main maintenance facility and has a steady workflow. They are privately owned and value their family environment. JOB SUMMARY: Seeking experienced Chief Inspector for their Certified Repair Shop Part 145: MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul). Will have the final authority in airworthiness determinations and releasing of aircraft to flight status. Responsible for directing, planning and laying details of the inspection standards, methods and procedures in complying with all applicable CFR\'s as well as manufacturers specifications and recommendations. COMPLETE JOB DUTIES:

  • Directly report to Accountable Manager on matters of regulatory relevance and Federal compliance issues.
  • Ascertains that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work.
  • Ensures that all inspection records reports, and forms used by the repair station are properly executed prior to approving the article to return to service.
  • Determines that all technical data (paper or electronic) on all articles overhauled or repaired by the Repair Station are secured and kept current with the latest revisions by the respective department Inspectors.
  • Establishes parts receiving inspection procedures to prevent receiving Suspect Unapproved Parts (SUPs) and assures that no defective, unserviceable or non-airworthy parts are installed on any aircraft by Cascade Helicopter Services.
  • Ensures that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way that they could not be reused.
  • Accomplishes the final acceptance of all incoming material, including new parts, supplies and the Airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station by contract.
  • Assures proper execution of 337 form as defined in FAR part 43 appendix B and repair station manual.
  • Conducts the preliminary, hidden damage in process and final inspection of all articles processed by the repair station and record results as per the repair station manual.
  • Oversees the proper tagging and identification of all parts and articles as outlined in the repair station manual.
  • Provides the continuity of inspection responsibilities, assuring completion of required inspection when personnel shift or assignment changes occur.
  • Assures that both Service Difficulty Report (SDR), FAA form 8070-1, malfunction and defect report (MDR), and FAA form 8010-4 are submitted as required.
  • Maintains files for completed work orders and inspection forms in such a manner that the file pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located for review.
  • Maintains the forms manual and instruct in proper usage of all forms to personnel.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists, supervises and directs all personnel assigned to the inspection department.
  • Assists, supervises, and directs all Program Managers in the performance of their duties such that work is accomplished on schedule and on budget and in accordance with Federal Regulations and repair station procedures.
  • Ensures that Program Managers are conducting daily (standup) personnel work flow meetings.
  • Conducts brief daily (standup) meetings with all Program Managers for an overview of all work in progress.
  • Confirms that all Program Managers enforce work order accountability; maintenance releases are made into maintenance logs and work orders in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
  • Approves personnel requested training schedules provided by Program Managers.
  • AIRFRAMES: - Airbus H125 - Bell rotorcrafts
REQUIRED :
  • Minimum of 1 year, but 3 years preferred: aviation management experience, in rotorcraft.
  • A&P License
  • Valid driver license
  • Must own tools & the toolbox. Company is flexible with new hires borrowing the tools they do not have but do want them to have a complete set in their first year. Tool list will be sent to new hires before starting.
  • Open to travel: This position may require days where mechanics drive to nearby airports locations for AOG. Overnight travel does not travel often but rare occurrences of other sites being low on mechanics and need extra support.
PREFERRED :
  • Candidates looking for long a term opportunity and/or to build a career at AHS
  • 6 years rotorcraft experience: Airbus/Bell
  • Experience in/knowledge of Part 145 Repair Station
  • Project Management Experience
  • Mastery of multiple airframes, associated aircraft systems, engines, engine systems, and their interactions with each other.
  • Extensive knowledge of the airframe and engine inspection requirements, airworthiness regulations, company policies and procedures, and quality and safety systems.
  • Must be extremely quality minded, demonstrate organizational skills, and attention to details.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS On job training (OJT), working directly on helicopter and its fast paced every day. Expected to ask questions, learn, and give full effort each day. Attendance, be on time every day. WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Team of 15 close-knit mechanics.
  • Most work is on hangar and runway.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The work environment is often not temperature/humidity controlled. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. They do team work events together and have a strong family environment.
