We are seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients across various age groups, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
Provide family planning guidance and support as needed.
Utilize electronic health record systems, such as AdvancedMD, for documentation and patient management.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients, including senior care considerations.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Stay updated on best practices in psychiatric care and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Strong knowledge of physiology and mental health disorders.
Experience with patient assessment and care in a psychiatric setting.
Proficiency in ICD-10 coding for mental health diagnoses.
Skills in IV insertion and medication administration are preferred.
Familiarity with neonatal ventilator management is a plus.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
