JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Learning seeks undergraduate students to tutor peers in writing. Candidates must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University Park campus and must have completed or be enrolled in ENGL 250: Peer Tutoring in Writing or APLING 250: Peer Tutoring for Multilingual Writers. Tutors are expected to work a minimum of 3 hours weekly and to complete classroom workshops and informational visits as part of their position. Applicants who have not yet taken English 250 or APLING 250 should review the course application at https://pennstatelearning.psu.edu/writing-tutor-application Applicants who are eligible for Work Study funding should apply to the PSL Peer Writing Tutor Federal Work Study posting. Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
