Job Position

: Sr. Behavioral Health Counselor

Essential Functions:

Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Offer crisis intervention and support Collaborate with psychiatric providers and other healthcare professionals Provide the licensed master social worker (LMSW) with oversight and guidance in diagnosing and treating patients Review and evaluate the professional work of the licensed master social worker (LMSW) Provide at least two hours per month of in-person individual or group clinical supervision for the licensed master social worker (LMSW) Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in EMR Educate patients and families about mental health and coping strategies Advocate for patients' needs and rights Coordinate with community resources and services Participate in continuing education and professional development Administrative supervision of all assigned staff ensuring diagnoses and treatment plans are meet Rendr's standards. Clinical supervision of all assigned LMSW staff of at least 2 hours per month in order to assure clinical protocols are met and are in compliance with governing bodies and other guidelines.

Qualifications:

NYS active LCSW is required. Bilingual Chinese Mandarin/Cantonese required. Able to make professional evaluations, decisions, and recommendation for treatment planning and implementation. Supervision experience is a plus, not required. Behavioral Counseling: 5+ years' experience preferred.
