Protective Security Officer Position Summary:

Protective Service Officers for an educational building physical security in Hinton, West Virginia/Harper Road Beckley WV.. The Protective Service Officer will assist in the protection of college facilities, property, employees, and facility guests.

Minimum Qualifications:

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Must be a U.S. citizen

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Have a Social Security Card issued and approved by the Social Security Administration

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Be at least 21 years of age.

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Possess high school diploma from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent certificate

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English, and compose coherent written reports in English.

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 And meet one of the following experience/education requirements:

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Two years of Armed security experience within the past five years; or

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Two years of military or National Guard (active duty or reserve) experience

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Pass the drug test, and physical agility test if applicable.

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Completed the required training; and pass the required examination(s).

Licenses or Certifications:

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Driver\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x84\xa2s license, and

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Social security card or birth certificate, and

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7 Other certifications (guard/clearance card, gun permit, OC permit Baton permit, CPR, First Aid.)
