The Multifamily Property Manager is responsible for the overall management and operations of a multifamily property, ensuring a seamless living experience for residents while maintaining property standards and compliance. This role involves overseeing new tenant setup, move-ins, repairs, property maintenance, work orders, and ensuring compliance with regulations and property policies.
Key Responsibilities:
New Tenant Setup and Move-Ins
? Conduct unit inspections and ensure they meet standards before new tenant move-ins.
? Orient new tenants to property rules, amenities, and emergency procedures.
? Cultivate positive resident relations by addressing concerns, resolving complaints, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
Repairs and Property Oversight
? Manage property maintenance and repairs, liaising with maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests and issues.
? Prioritize repairs based on urgency and severity, ensuring resident safety and satisfaction.
? Monitor repair progress and ensure quality workmanship.
? Maintain property appearance and curb appeal to attract and retain residents.
Work Orders Management
? Receive and process resident maintenance requests and work orders.
? Allocate tasks to maintenance technicians and porters, tracking progress and completion.
? Maintain accurate records of work orders, expenses, and repairs.
Violation Compliance
? Enforce property policies and lease agreements, addressing violations promptly and appropriately.
? Document violations, communicate corrective actions to residents, and ensure compliance with property rules and regulations.
? Collaborate with local agencies, if necessary, for more complex violations.
Qualifications:
? Proven experience in property management, with a focus on multifamily properties.
? Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
? Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
? Knowledge of local housing regulations, leasing laws, and property management best practices.
? Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
