Job Description

Westbrook Housing is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Property Management Director to lead the department in the management of its housing portfolio. Westbrook Housing owns or manages 763 apartments across seventeen developments with six additional communities in various stages of development. Properties serve a mix of senior and family populations and are subsidized (i.e., Project-Based Vouchers, Project-Based Rental Assistance), affordable Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties or market rate apartments. The dynamic and professional Property Management Team consists of five property managers, an assistant property manager, a compliance specialist and assistant, and share an intake specialist with the Housing Choice Voucher Department. This position also supervises the Facilities Maintenance Director with indirect oversight over the Maintenance Team.

In addition to a supervisory role, the Property Management Director is responsible for all aspects of management to include the performance of application processing, property leasing, marketing, rent and deposit collection, and maintenance of properties. The Director will ensure all properties comply with the applicable requirements and regulations of respective oversight agencies and will work closely with the Executive, Finance, Resident Services, Development and Maintenance Directors on annual budgets, asset management, and capital projects.

The qualified applicant shall have a 4-year degree with a BA or BS in an appropriate discipline and/or 3-5 years of proven success in the housing industry and/or direct property management and at least three years of prior supervisory experience. The applicant must also have a LIHTC Compliance Certification (or within six months of employment).
