Duties
Assist in managing leasing activities, including property tours, tenant screening, and lease negotiations to maximize occupancy and revenue
Oversee property maintenance coordination, ensuring timely repairs and adherence to safety standards using facilities management tools like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Support compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other legal requirements
Maintain accurate data entry and filing of tenant records, lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents using Yardi or OneSite property management software
Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism via phone and in person, fostering positive relationships with residents and prospects
Manage conflict resolution between tenants or staff, applying effective negotiation skills to resolve issues amicably
Assist in marketing efforts through upselling amenities and lease renewals to enhance resident satisfaction and retention
Requirements
Proven experience in property management, leasing, or real estate administrative roles with a focus on residential properties
Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, and legal administrative procedures
Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; experience with CMMS is a plus
Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently through data entry, filing, and office administrative experience
Demonstrated competence in facilities management and property maintenance coordination
Effective negotiation skills for lease agreements and contract discussions; experience in sales or upselling is advantageous
