Key Responsibilities
Networking and Sales:
Actively engage in networking and lead generation activities to identify and develop new business opportunities.
New Business Development:
Drive the entire sales process, from drumming up leads to quoting and closing new personal and commercial lines policies.
Community Involvement:
Actively participate in networking groups like BNI to build a strong center of influence within the Des Moines community.
Focus on Sales:
This role is designed to keep you on the street and focused on what you do best--selling. Our in-house support staff will handle all administrative and support work, freeing you from being bogged down with paperwork and service tasks.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
P&C License:
Must hold a current Property & Casualty license. Health & Life licensing is not required.
Insurance Sales Experience:
A minimum of
2 years of experience
in insurance field sales is required, with a preference for candidates who have prior independent agency sales experience.
Center of Influence:
Must have an established network and "center of influence" within the local community.
Skillset:
A proven ability to generate and close new business, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
