As a

Customer Service Representative

for Kit Carson Propane, you will act as a liaison, provide information, answer questions, and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.

What You'll Do:

Providing introductory information to new customers. Ensure customers are satisfied with products or services. Following up with customers to check that they're still satisfied with service. Let customers or clients know about additional products or services. Determining the quickest, most effective ways to answer a customer's questions. Escalating queries and concerns. Troubleshooting common issues. Process and post payments to customer accounts. Daily reconciliation of cash receipts. Filling and requalify outdated propane cylinders. Must have or gain appropriate knowledge of information required during the propane application process. Must be able to take propane orders and determine propane order needs based on the size and percentage of the tanks. Must learn the various types of accounts (Will Call, Auto-Fill, Metered Accounts) and payments needed. Must be able to calculate and prepare yearly budgets for budget customers and know which types of customers are or are not eligible for the budget program. Filing and typing duties. Answering phone calls and relaying messages in a timely manner Other duties as needed.

What you bring:

Must have or obtain an LP09 Classification within 90 days of employment for filling various sizes of propane cylinders up to 100 pound cylinders. Interpersonal and customer service skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Multitasking and organizational skills. Ability to answer a high volume of calls and/or emails daily. Ability to share work among a customer service team. Attentiveness and patience Time-management skills. Ability to find the positive in any situation. Cashiering experience (preferred) Bottle/Cylinder filling experience (preferred) Bilingual (Spanish/English) (preferred).
