What We Need:
We are looking for a Project Specialist 1 to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team. This role will perform a variety of customer support duties of a more technical nature. Assisting dealer partners, ensuring accurate documentation, communication and coordination. Manage daily orders from award to completion, acting as the main point of contact for the customer. Secure necessary ship and delivery dates. Maintain and ensure accurate pricing and delivery information. Resolve customer inquiries and issues while providing efficient and courteous service. Act as a liaison between customer and various organization (or internal) departments. Assure that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
What You Will Do:
Assist in managing daily orders and customer communications.
Enter essential data into business systems for logistics and lead time tracking.
Coordinate schedule updates with internal teams.
Track customer requests and ensure timely follow-up.
Confirm receipt of required documentation for order placement.
Maintain formal written communications throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare delivery and installation packets.
Provide basic clarification on order issues.
Support field technical services under guidance.
Monitor performance quality and escalate issues as needed.
Participate in standard work documentation and process adherence.
Escalate high-impact issues appropriately.
Assist in cost control efforts related to delivery and warranty.
Support organizational activities and team collaboration.
Implement plans and services to support customer request utilizing communication strategies to set realistic project schedules, understand root cause of issues and investigate options for resolution.
Build relationships.
Maintains goodwill of customer during service period and promotes the sale of products to existing and potential customers.
Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
What You Have:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience required; 3 years preferred.
