Summary:
Train, coach and support participants while completing Project SEARCH internships at UCHealth with the intent to seek employment on the completion of the program.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Responsibilities:
Works alongside community partners, parents, program manager, Special Education Instructor, and Para Educator to develop skill sets and confidence that will lead to competitive employment opportunities for Project SEARCH interns.

Oversees the development and employment placement efforts for interns after completion of Project SEARCH by identifying appropriate career exploration activities/internships/working interviews and job placements.

Provides direct, community based job training and supervision to individuals with disabilities through supported employment.

Provides training in areas of health, safety and emergency procedures in the workplace. Provides non-work related support services as needed. Maintains documentation as prescribed by Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Community Centered Boards.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED, or in lieu of HS/GED, satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test is required.
• Bachelor\'s degree in related field preferred
• Minimum Experience: None Required.
• Preferred Experience: 2 or more years of working with students with significant disabilities. Experience in public relations, management, and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to pass the CESP certificate program (Community Employment Specialist program) within 1 year of employment.

The pay range for this position is: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant\'s relevant experience.
