Job Summary

Under the direction of the Project Services Manager/Project Director, the incumbent will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring integration across departments and alignment with project milestones and deliverables. This role plays a critical function in supporting informed decision-making, identifying schedule risks, and ensuring project controls are maintained throughout all phases of the project lifecycle for the duration of the project.


Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed project and maintenance schedules (Primavera P6 or MS Project), aligned with execution strategy, work order flow, inspections, and equipment readiness. Perform analytical support through performance measurement, forecasting, and variance analysis across cost, schedule, and productivity metrics. Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness teams to ensure alignment of plans and timely information flow. Track the progress and reporting through Earned Value Management (EVM), milestone tracking, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify and communicate schedule risks and opportunities; participate in risk reviews and mitigation planning. Complete the planning of monthly reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and executive reviews. Collaborate with project controls, finance, and commercial teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems. Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and reporting processes and tools. Ensure compliance with corporate and project-specific governance, procedures, and reporting requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred. 5+ years' of experience in planning, project controls, or project analytics within mining, energy, oil & gas, or large-scale infrastructure projects. Proficiency with project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent). Familiarity with Earned Value Management principles and project performance analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Experience in restart or brownfield projects is highly desirable. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Valid driver's license required.
